The Grief Recovery Method
The Grief Recovery Method® is a programme of guided self-help for anyone who has experienced a loss due to the death of someone important in their life, the end of a relationship or one of over 40 significant life events that evoke grief.
A course consisting of between six to eight sessions teaches you how to let go of the pain, so you are able to enjoy your positive memories and lead a happier life.
What Makes It Different?
We believe that discovery is different to recovery and whereas counselling, therapy or 'alternative' treatments may be of some little or great benefit they mainly offer a path to discovery of the thoughts and feelings you have around the loss in your life.
When followed in order, as a series of small steps the Grief Recovery Method® leads to the completion of all the unresolved business linked to the loss.
What is unique about the Grief Recovery Method® is that, when followed in order as a series of small steps, it leads to the completion of all the unresolved business linked to the loss. Watch video.
After losing her baby daughter and a few years later, her young son, Jill experienced her own difficult journey whilst also witnessing the grief suffered by those around her. Following this significant life event, Jill felt compelled to go on and help others by becoming a certified Grief Recovery Specialist with Grief Recovery UK.
Having seen at first hand the impact that the Grief Recovery Method® can have, Jill was driven to pursue raising its profile and the benefits that it has to people's lives.
Jill is particularly passionate about helping adults to support children and young people on how to best deal with losses we all face at some point in our lives and provides programmes to schools, parents and carers on how to help children deal with grief and loss.
Jill offers Grief Support Groups or One to One Grief Support. She is based in Stafford, UK and is available to offer help to local communities and surrounding areas.
